C.R. Laurence AG212 2-1/2″ AG Series Plated Diamond Drill offers a robust solution for precision drilling in glass and other hard materials. Designed with a unique aggressive sawtooth profile, this drill minimizes contact area, enhancing grinding action and promoting efficient coolant penetration. As C.R. Laurence’s most durable drill, it is crafted from solid steel, ensuring longevity and reliability in various applications. With diameters available from 1/8″ to 4-1/2″, the AG212 fits seamlessly with portable tripod and cup-style machines. For optimal performance, use it alongside DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and immerse it in a retaining ring. An additional benefit is its ability to be sharpened once with a CRL Sharpening Stone when completely worn out, extending its usability. Safety is paramount; always wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling. Ensure the work surface is flat and horizontal. The special sawtooth design of
CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills reduces the contact area, allowing better grinding action and increased coolant penetration. They are perfect for use in portable tripod and cup style machines. Our most durable drill has been machined from solid steel. Use with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge in a retaining ring for best results. Although plated, these drills may be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone after they are totally worn out to expose some of the remaining diamonds. This will extend their work life for a period of time.
NOTE: Always wear the proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be performed on a flat, horizontal surface. A Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device is recommended when using any type of electric tool in conjunction with water or coolant. Failure to follow any of these precautions can result in operator injury.

NEVER perform any type of freehand drilling. The use of a hand drill requieres a stabilization base such as a our GDB1 & GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. Extreme care and caution should be used as the use of these drill in any other manner other than as specified may damage the bit and void warranty.
